PNBAA Safety & Security Day

Business Aviation Workshop in Seattle to Focus on Fighting Flight Complacency

[Seattle, Washington] – Among business aviation professionals a strong safety culture is imperative. Addressing flight complacency is a primary goal for improving business aviation safety, and this topic will be a key component to the Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association (PNBAA) Safety and Security workshop in Seattle on Thursday, April 6th, 2023.

PNBAA recognizes the critical importance of combatting flight complacency and maintaining a strong safety culture. This workshop will bring together aviation professionals from across the Pacific Northwest, and the country, to discuss the latest developments in aviation safety and security, including the importance of fighting the biological components of complacency to build safer and more secure practices within business aviation.

Flight complacency is a growing concern in the aviation industry, as people can become overly confident and disregard standard procedures, potentially leading to serious accidents. The PNBAA Safety and Security Day addresses this issue through speaker presentations and a keynote workshop highlighting the need to stay vigilant and prioritize safety in all aspects of flight operations.

"Flight complacency is a real threat to aviation safety, and it's our responsibility as industry leaders to stay informed and proactive," said Nick Lietzow, PNBAA Board Member and Safety and Security Committee Co-Chair. "PNBAA is committed to promoting and prioritizing safety in all business aviation operations and making sure our members and supporters remain alert and aware of evolving potential risks to safety and security within their organizations. The return of the PNBAA Safety and Security Day is an important opportunity to engage with other industry leaders and experts, and exchange knowledge and ideas about how we can combat complacency and improve business aviation safety."

This all-day workshop will focus on habit mastery as it relates to minimizing complacency in safety practices. It will give attendees actionable takeaways on how to improve safety and security in all facets of business aviation operations.

Registration and sponsorship opportunities are available now for April 6th at the Museum of Flight on Boeing Field in Seattle. NBAA CAM credit will also be awarded to all attendees. Learn more at pnbaa.org/events or contact us at info@pnbaa.org.
